To avoid costly damage and repairs, we suggest that you take care of your vehicle with a few routine maintenance tasks. We are going over these tasks below, so keep reading!

Your Maintenance Checklist:

All Fluid Levels: Did you know that there are quite a number of fluids running through your vehicle that help it run properly? These fluids include engine coolant, power steering fluid, windshield wiper fluid, and transmission fluid. Lift up your Dodge Charger’s hood and start checking on all these fluids. You can top off fluids like the windshield wiper and transmission fluids if you notice that they are low. Other fluid systems like the brake, power steering, and coolant are closed fluid systems which means if you notice that they are low, that could indicate a leak. Book an appointment with us as soon as possible to resolve the leak so you can get back on the road!

Oil and Oil Filter Change: One of the most important fluids that we didn’t cover above is the oil running through your engine. With the job of keeping your engine’s moving parts lubricated and cool, the oil in your engine is very important to avoid costly damage and repairs. If the oil in your Chrysler 300 or Dodge Challenger starts to age too much and collects dust and dirt, it will turn into a sludge that cannot perform its duties correctly. That sludge can also clog the oil filter and cause even more damage. It is important that you change your oil at regular intervals to avoid damage.

Battery Inspection: There are a lot of things that can damage your vehicle’s battery from drastic temperature fluctuations to debris stuck under the hood and even small little creatures. While you are checking on your vehicle’s fluid levels, take a good look at the battery casing as well. You should look out for bubbling or cracks in the battery’s casing, corrosion around the connections, and even loose connections. To avoid vibrations and damage when driving, make sure that the battery is properly mounted. This is also a good time to check how old your battery is. Most suggest that you should swap out your current battery for a new model once it reaches four years.

Tire Inspection and Rotation: As the only part of your vehicle that touches the road, the tires on your vehicle are one of the most important parts and they need to be taken care of too. Gripping the paved road or dirt, directing where you want to go, and even enhancing your fuel efficiency, your tires have a pretty big job. First, you should check the condition of your tires, to ensure that they are wearing evenly and then book a tire rotation appointment with us.
