Holland, Ohio is a village in Lucas County and a suburb of Toledo. Holland had other names over the years, most notably Drakes and Hardy before Holland became the official name in 1867 and was later incorporated as such in 1923. The name is believed to have come from a derivation Franklin Hall, of a house builder, and his attempt to call his platted land Hall Land.
