The V6 engine comes standard with eTorque mild-hybrid technology, offering a seamless fuel-saving Engine Stop/Start (ESS) function. The most popular Ram 1500 engine is the optional 5.7L HEMI V8. Laying down 395 horsepower and 410 lb-ft of torque, the HEMI engine gives the Ram 1500 an 11,610-pound maximum towing capacity. This number can be bumped up to 12,750 pounds by opting for the 5.7L V8 with eTorque. Another option is the EcoDiesel 3.0L V6, which hauls up to 12,560 pounds with 260 horsepower and 480 lb-ft of torque. Lastly, the Ram 1500 TRX comes exclusively with a 6.2L supercharged V8. This monster of a truck rips out a hellish 702 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque, taking you from 0-60 in just 4.5 seconds. As standard equipment, all Ram 1500 engines are mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission powering a rear-wheel drivetrain. However, the most common here in Ohio is a 4x4 drivetrain, as it is better suited for our unpredictable weather. 

For the 2023 Ram 1500, designers pulled out all the stops, making new features available for the lineup. The most notable of these new features is the available 12-inch fully-digital gauge cluster. Displaying driver assists, turn-by-turn navigation, gauges, vehicle dynamics, and much more, the new driver information display gives you the most important information at a quick glance. Additionally, the screen can be customized to your preferences with five configurable tiles. As was previously mentioned, the trim level lineup has been updated with the new Limited Elite trim. Selec-Speed also comes standard with the Off-Road group, available for the Big Horn, Laramie, and Limited trims, and the Back Country package, available for the Big Horn trim.

The Tradesman trim starts the Ram 1500 lineup, offering exterior features like power-adjustable heated side mirrors, 18-inch steel wheels, active grille shutters, and more. Getting inside the Tradesman, you’ll discover easy-to-clean vinyl upholstery, power door locks, power windows, air conditioning, and a 5-inch infotainment touchscreen. The Big Horn trim comes next, offering fog lights, chrome alloy wheels, a chrome grille surround, an 8.4-inch touchscreen, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and in-floor storage for crew cab variants. The Laramie trim brings more, including heated front seats, leather-trimmed upholstery, ten-speaker Alpine premium audio, remote start, a heated steering wheel, and LED exterior lighting. The Rebel takes you to the trails with off-roading suspension, a locking rear axle, 33-inch all-terrain tires, black wheel flares, a sport-performance hood, and Selec-Speed. Topping off the lineup is the Limited trim, adding the Advanced Safety Group, 20-inch polished alloy wheels, air suspension, a 12-inch touchscreen, leather upholstery, and much more.
