Wagoneer S vs Other EVs

Being a battery electric vehicle, or BEV for short, the Wagoneer S runs solely on electric power, void of any internal combustion engine, gasoline, or oil. Instead, the Wagoneer S uses two electric drive modules (EDMs), one on each axle, and a 400-volt, 100-kilowatt-hour lithium-ion battery pack. The EDM's three-in-one setup includes the electric motor, of course, along with the gearing and power electronics combined into one compact – yet powerful – unit. This gives the Wagoneer S a heart-pounding 600 horsepower and 615 lb-ft of instantaneous torque to all four wheels. This translates into a 0-60 time of just 3.4 seconds. The closest competitor to this acceleration time is the Tesla Model Y, with a 3.5-second 0-60 time. Other competitors can't keep up, with the Genesis GV70 EV at 4.2 seconds and the Lexus RZ at 5.0 seconds. 

The 2024 Wagoneer S is also the most technologically advanced all-electric luxury SUV with loads of segment-exclusive features. For example, the Wagoneer S offers 45 inches of digital display screens, with the closest competitor, the Lexus RZ, paling in comparison with just 31 inches of display screens. At the heart of the digital display screens for the Wagoneer S is the 12.3-inch Uconnect 5 infotainment touchscreen, featuring a landscape orientation atop the center stack. Meanwhile, the 12-inch fully digital gauge cluster keeps you informed about pertinent vehicle information. Much of this information can be projected into your field of view with a 10-inch head-up display. Meanwhile, the Wagoneer S also comes standard with a 9.2-inch digital rearview mirror, allowing you to switch between a traditional rearview mirror and a live feed from a rear-facing camera. Finally, the Wagoneer S is the only vehicle in its class to feature a standard 10.25-inch touchscreen in front of the front passenger, giving them access to navigation, entertainment, vehicle cameras, and more! 

The Wagoneer S also features a wide range of other standout features. A great example of this is the sound system. While the second-place competitor in terms of speakers, the Lexus RZ, comes with ten speakers, the Wagoneer S comes with 19 speakers as standard equipment. And not just 19 of any speakers, but 19 McIntosh speakers. This segment-exclusive sound system provides rich concert hall-like sound with custom-tuned speakers, a 1,200-watt amplifier, and a 12-inch subwoofer for heart-pounding bass. Further, the Wagoneer S is the only vehicle in its class to feature heated/ventilated seats in both the front and rear, while its competitors' rear seats only have heating.
