The 2024 Dodge Charger has been introduced as the Charger Daytona, featuring the brand's first-ever all-electric powertrain, which also makes it the world's first and only all-electric muscle car. By placing an electric drive module (EDM) on each axle, the Charger Daytona achieves the impressive traction and performance provided by all-wheel drive. The EDMs are powered by a 100.5-kilowatt-hour lithium-ion battery pack that is primarily recharged by an external power source, while the Charger Daytona uses regenerative braking to feed the battery on the go. Each EDM supplies 335 horsepower and 300 lb-ft of torque. However, for the 2024 model year, the Charger Daytona R/T trim comes with a Stage 1 Direct Connection kit that boosts the power output to 496 horsepower, while the Scat Pack trim features a Stage 2 kit and delivers an exhilarating 670 horsepower. To maximize range and efficiency, the Charger uses front wheel-end disconnect, which disables the front EDM, essentially reverting the powertrain to rear-wheel drive on smooth, dry road conditions. Meanwhile, when conditions require it, the front EDM will re-engage, switching back to all-wheel drive automatically with no driver input. The rear EDM is accompanied by an electronic limited-slip differential to maximize traction no matter where your journeys take you. 

The design team for the 2024 Charger took it back to the drawing board ahead of the release with one goal in mind: honor the Charger's muscle car roots while putting its next-generation spirit on full display. As a nod to the Charger's rich history, Dodge placed the Fratzog logo, found on models between the 1962 and 1976 model years, on the 2024 Charger's wheel center caps, grille, and trunk lid. The triangular logo found on the front and rear of the new Charger is LED-illuminated to put a modern twist on the classic badge. The front end of the Charger Daytona features reshaped headlights with standard LED bulbs along with the patent-pending R-Wing. The Charger's R-Wing is a modernized version of the R-Wing found on Charger Daytona models in the late 1960s to the early 70s. The R-Wing is in place to improve performance by increasing downforce while also creating a unique profile that's sure to turn heads. While the Charger Daytona R/T comes with 18-by-8-inch Tech Silver alloy wheels, the Scat Pack trim rolls on 20-by-11-inch Satin Carbon wheels. The new Charger is available in White Knuckle, Destroyer Gray, Diamond Black, After Dark, Bludicrous, Peel Out, Triple Nickle, and Redeye.

Dodge has long used a driver-focused layout inside its vehicles, with the center stack angled slightly toward the driver to create a cockpit-like feel and enhance the driving experience. This continues into the 2024 model year, continuing the Charger's high-performance nature. Also contributing to that nature is the race-inspired flat-top and bottom steering wheel. The steering wheel also features paddle shifters, giving the driver the option to have control over the transmission shift points to enhance performance. Mounted to the steering wheel is Dodge's all-new PowerShot button which gives the Charger a 15-second burst of 30 additional horsepower. Behind the steering wheel is where you'll find all your pertinent driving information on a 10.25-inch customizable screen in the R/T and a mind-boggling 16-inch screen in the Scat Pack. Meanwhile, both trims come with a 12.3-inch Uconnect 5 touchscreen with a horizontal orientation. Honoring Dodge's heritage is a modern iteration of the classic "pistol-grip" shifter on the center console. The center console also features the relocated ignition button for a more intuitive location. Cloth/leatherette seating is standard for the new Charger, while Nappa leather in either Black or Demonic Red is optional. The 2024 Charger offers the most cargo space ever offered by the Charger, featuring 38.5 cubic feet in the trunk and an additional 1.5 cubic feet in the front trunk or frunk. The frunk is found where the internal combustion engine would be if the Charger were not an all-electric vehicle.
