The 2022 ProMaster features a new generation of the trusted 3.6L Pentastar V6 engine that offers 280 horsepower, 260 lb-ft of torque, and a maximum towing capacity of 6,910 pounds. For payload capacity, the ProMaster can take on up to 4,680 pounds. In addition, this V8 engine is mated to a brand new TorqueFlite 9-speed automatic transmission that drives the front wheels. This new engine-transmission combination uses variable valve timing, unique gear mapping, and smoother gear shifts to provide better fuel economy and driveability. 

Ram offers a total of 18 configurations for the 2022 ProMaster. The configurations offer different options in roof heights, total lengths, and wheelbases. You can also configure the ProMaster with four different cargo area lengths, 8, 10, 12, or 13.5 feet. The cargo width between wheel wells leads the class with a total of 56 inches, allowing for maximum cargo space even at the van's narrowest point. Meanwhile, 75.6 inches of total cargo width is also the best in its class. In addition, with doors that open 260 degrees, you get 60 inches of space to load the cargo area and to help you load the longer items, the available sliding side doors open 49 inches. The ProMaster offers a whopping 463 cubic feet of total cargo space when you select all of the largest configurations! Another one of the 18 different configurations is three available seating arrangements. Front bucket seats are standard while swiveling seats and a three-seat bench are also available. For additional passenger capacity, a second-row bench with three seats is also available. Finally, if you need both passenger and cargo space, you can have the ProMaster with a 6, 7, or 9-foot long cargo area, while the opening beneath the second-row seats extends this up to 13 feet.
