Jeep Compass Trim Levels

The Compass represents Jeep for the 2019 model year in the compact crossover SUV class. It is available in four trim levels: Sport, Latitude, Limited, and Trailhawk. The Compass received several updates for 2019 including a new Sting Grey exterior paint color, a new High Altitude Appearance Package, an Upland special edition, and more! Keep reading to learn more about what the different Compass models have to offer!

Sport: If you go with this trim level you will get a 7-inch touchscreen, a six-speaker sound system, Bluetooth, a USB port, air conditioning, and 16-inch wheels as standard. Compass Sport models have an available Upland special edition package which includes a gloss black roof, bright chrome exhaust tip, gloss black grille with black rings, fog light bezels and badges, matte black tow hooks, silver anodized interior accents, front suspension skid plates, front Trailhawk fascia, and Trailhawk all-weather mats.

Latitude: The next trim level up takes what you get on the Sport, and adds a leather-wrapped steering wheel, upgraded cloth and simulated leather seat upholstery, and keyless ignition and entry.

Limited: The Compass Limited model upgrades to an 8.4-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The Limited also comes with an upgraded driver information display, satellite radio, remote start, automatic dual-zone climate control, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, leather upholstery, heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, upgraded exterior trim, and 18-inch wheels. There is a package called the High Altitude Appearance Package that you can select for this trim level. It adds navigation, gloss black roof, deep-tint glass, satin gloss granite grille surrounds, anodized gunmetal interior finishes, high-intensity discharge headlamps with signature LED light, LED tail lights, and tungsten interior stitching.

Trailhawk: The Trailhawk model is specifically designed for off-road adventures with 17-inch wheels, off-road-oriented tires, red tow hooks, skid plates, a raised suspension, a Selec-Terrain system with a rock mode, and a matte-black hood accent. Furthering the Trailhawk’s off-road capability is Jeep’s Active Drive Low 4x4 System. The system included a 20:1 crawl ratio, hill descent control, and a low range. To optimize efficiency the system uses a rear axle disconnect that switches between two- and four-wheel drive.

Jeep offers several options for the 2019 Compass including a power liftgate, navigation, sunroof, xenon headlights, a premium Beats audio system, a Cold Weather package, and an Advanced Safety package.

Regardless of the trim level you go with, your Compass will be powered by a 2.4-liter inline-4 engine that puts out 180 horsepower, 175 lb-ft of torque, and has a fuel economy rating up to 32 mpg. The Trailhawk model comes exclusively with four-wheel-drive while all other models have an option of either front-wheel or four-wheel-drive. The Sport and 4WD Latitude models come with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission. While the Limited and Trailhawk models come solely with a 9-speed automatic transmission. When the Compass is mated to either of the automatic transmissions start/stop technology comes started. Jeep Compass’ with 4WD are capable of towing up to 2,000 pounds.
