Which Trim Level of the 2019 Dodge Journey is Right for Me?
The seven-passenger Dodge Journey is a family-friendly SUV ready to embark on an adventure! The three-row configuration allows families to configure and reconfigure as they see fit, transporting people and cargo all over town. Entering the 2019 model year, the Journey's trim lineup consists of three incredibly well-equipped models giving owners easier access to the features that they want and need. Plus, the capable powertrains under the hood of the Journey help make every ride easy and comfortable. We are going over each of the three trim levels and all the features they come packed with so you can find the one that best meets all the needs of your lifestyle!
SE: Dodge starts the Journey lineup off with the entry-level SE trim. This model comes outfitted with tons of standard features like keyless entry and ignition, automatic headlights, a 4.3-inch central display screen, 17-inch steel wheels, fog lights, a six-speaker sound system, a height-adjustable driver's seat, a rearview camera, heated side mirrors, and roof rails. The second-row seats offer 60/40 split folding while the third offers 50/50 split folding. Both rows recline and slide for optimum comfort!
An optional Connectivity package is available for the SE trim level. This package adds a leather-wrapped steering wheel, Bluetooth connectivity, voice commands, satellite radio, and a USB port. The available Comfort/Convenience package adds a power-adjustable driver's seat and upgraded cloth upholstery. For a more sinister appearance check out the Blacktop package which wraps the Journey in blacked out trim and adds 17-inch alloy wheels. The final package, the Premium Group, combines the offerings of the Comfort/Convenience and Connectivity packages, outfitting the SE trim with all the features from both.
Crossroad: Step up to the Crossroad trim level for even more features! Dodge equips this model with all the features from the Premium Group as well as leather upholstery, a touring-tuned suspension, an 8.4-inch central touchscreen infotainment system, 19-inch wheels, and three-zone climate control with vents for rear-seat passengers. Stand-alone features available for this trim level include a sunroof, a rear-seat entertainment system, heated front seats, navigation, remote engine start, and a premium six-speaker sound system with a subwoofer. An available Driver Convenience Package adds a universal garage door opener and rear parking sensors.
GT: The final trim level in the Journey lineup is the GT. This model comes outfitted with almost all the available features for the Crossroad trim level as well as an upgraded suspension for an even more comfortable ride and exclusive 19-inch wheels.
When it comes to power, the Journey delivers! Under the hood of the SE and Crossroad trim levels, you will find a 2.4L 16-Valve 4-cylinder engine cranking out 173 horsepower and 166 pound-feet of torque. This engine is outfitted with dual VVT and an automatic transmission, delivering up to 25 miles per gallon on the highway. Power is sent to the front-wheels with this engine. The GT trim level gains the award-winning 3.6-liter V6 engine that produces up to 283 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque. This engine is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission for up to 25 miles per gallon on the highway as well. Front-wheel drive is the standard drivetrain configuration for this engine but you can opt for the available all-wheel-drive configuration.
