Ram 1500 Wins Truck of the Year Award Toledo OH

The 2019 MotorTrend Truck of the Year award has gone to the Ram 1500 for its incredible capability! We Americans need more from our trucks than any other vehicle. Design:

The Ram 1500 has clean style with an unmistakable look. The Ram comes into the new year without its old crosshair grilles, mini-Mack fenders, and the traditional Ram badge. Some of the new incoming style features would be the option for seven different grilles, three choices for headlight and taillights, and fifteen wheel design options. With so many choices and options, it becomes easy to see how you can best customize the Ram 1500 to best suit your needs and likes. You even have an option to change the bed and cab for your needs as well.

 

Interior:

Every Ram, whether you choose the most basic of trims or highest of trims, will come with tools for both entertainment and for utility. There are even options for turning the cabin into a small office for those that work from their truck! Interior features would include the 8.4 or 12-inch touchscreen, incredible storage options, hidden spaces, heated and cooled seating, and some amazing upholstery options.

 

Engineering:

The 2019 Ram 1500 has come into the new year with improvements on the capability, efficiency, and performance. In the process, they have included high-strength steel that is built to cut down on overall weight while still upping the strength of the truck overall. Still included and well loved is the coil-spring rear suspension. For best ride and performance you can also find four-corner air suspension and the option for five different ride heights and load leveling. The payload is capable up to 2,320 pounds and the towing capacity maxes out to up to 12,750 pounds.

 

Engines:

The first engine option is a 3.6-liter V6 with 305 horsepower and 269 lb-ft of torque. The second engine is the 5.7-liter V8 with 395 horsepower and 410 lb-ft of torque. These engines both come with an eTorque system. These come standard with an eight-speed automatic transmission and rear wheel drive. Options for four-wheel drive and limited-slip or locking rear axles are available as well. Overall, the Ram 1500 can come with an EPA rated fuel efficiency of up to 25 miles per gallon on the highway.
